Adult Faith Formation — Sundays @ 9:00 AM — We are using the book, Holy Talk: An Introduction to Scripture for the Occasionally Biblically Embarrassed, by Pastor Harold Jacobson. Each Sunday, from September 24 through December, we will meet at 9 AM (prior to 10 AM worship) to work our way through the Hebrew Scriptures, including the following: Prophets Joshua, and Judges; 1 & 2 Samuel;1 & 2 Kings; Isaiah 1-3; Jeremiah; Ezekiel; Psalms; Proverbs; Job; Ruth; Esther; Daniel; Ezra; Nehemiah, and 1 & 2 Chronicles. All sessions will include a short video, a reading from the book, Holy Talk, and discussion. Please join in on any Sunday!!!
Prayer Ventures —Liturgy means “work of the people,” Join Pastor and others each Wednesday @ 2:00 PM as we craft the Prayers of Intercession for the upcoming Sunday liturgy. Zoom is available with notice to Pastor.
Lectionary Study — Each Wednesday from 2:30-3:15 pm, (immediately following Prayer Ventures — see above) several of us meet in person to discuss the upcoming Sunday readings. We can set up for zoom if needed. Please join in any time!
Christ in Our Home Devotionals are offered in regular and large-print editions which you are welcome to pick up in the welcome area next to the regular-sized devotionals. This is a wonderful resource that’s published quarterly to encourage readers to live out their faith daily. Reflections and prayers are based on scripture readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. The devotionals are also a great way to help support your prayer journey with daily bible readings and reflections as they provide a guide for those who want to live a more intentional Christian life.
